Dominica: Thirty new tour guides in Dominica have officially graduated from the Sustainable Tour Guide Training Programme organised by the Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). The hosted programme will play a role in strengthening the country’s tourism service sector as it has equipped the local professionals with the knowledge and skills to advance their service delivery to tourists and visitors travelling to Dominica.
The Sustainable Tour Guide Training Programme was a collaboration between the OECS Commission, the Dominica State College (DSC), the Ministry of Tourism, and the Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) and was financed by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) through the Caribbean Action for Resilience Enhancement (CARE) Programme.
The training programme was held for seven days at the Dominica State College, however, the official graduation and certification ceremony was hosted on Monday, May 11, 2026.
