Castle Bruce to host community health fair | Dominica News

Castle Bruce Health Fair 2026 will offer free health screenings, nutrition education, fitness sessions and wellness activities on July 31 at Sikwi Park.

Dominica: The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Social Services has announced that the Castle Bruce Health District is hosting a Health Fair this Friday, July 31, 2026, under the theme “Stronger Together Through Healthy Living.” This Health Fair is part of the Ministry’s greater efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and improve access to quality healthcare services.

Health Fair 2026 will take place at Sikwi Park in Castle Bruce commencing from 01:00 p.m. onwards. The Fair offers the citizens a chance to get free health services, including BMI checks, blood pressure screenings and blood glucose checks. Moreover, the health district has also planned health education sessions, nutrition education, waste management awareness, and physical activity sessions for individuals who plan to participate.

These services aim to promote prevention, early detection, and healthy living among community members while also encouraging citizens to make informed choices about their health and well-being.

This is more than a health fair! It's an opportunity to learn practical ways to improve your health, connect with healthcare professionals, and take positive steps toward a healthier lifestyle, shared the Ministry of Health.

The event will also feature other fun activities, including raffle prizes, exciting draws and refreshments throughout the day. Entertainment will also be provided as local Calypso artist Tasha P is scheduled to perform on the day.

The Ministry shared this information on Facebook where it has invited the citizens to attend the health fair, noting its importance in strengthening community health and empowering individuals.

Bring your family, invite your friends, and join us as we work together to build healthier individuals, healthier families, and healthier communities. Come and learn! Come get empowered! the Ministry stated.

A few citizens have taken to the comment section, expressing their excitement and praising the Castle Bruce Health District for this initiative.
