DABA Opens 2026 Dominica Basketball Season Registration | Dominica News DM

The Dominica Amateur Basketball Association opens registration for the 2026 season and invites clubs to an annual meeting on April 7.

Dominica: The Dominica Amateur Basketball Association has announced that registration for the 2026 Basketball Season is open, with the season scheduled to begin on April 11, 2026.    

DABA shared an official notice to all basketball clubs and teams in Dominica, notifying them that the Association will host its Annual General Meeting (AGM) as it begins preparations for this year’s Basketball season.  

In their notice, the Association has relayed to the clubs that the annual meeting will take place on April 7, 2026, as the 2026 season is scheduled to launch on April 11, 2026. According to DABA, the AGM will provide “updates on the Association’s activities, league structure, development initiatives, and other matters concerning the growth of basketball in Dominica.” 

With these set agendas relating to governance and development, the clubs have been encouraged to send representatives to the meeting, which will be hosted at the Dominica Olympic Committee Conference Room from 5 p.m. DABA shared that a virtual option will be available on Zoom to cater to those who won’t be able to physically attend, stating that the link will be shared with the clubs.  

In the notice, the basketball association also invited the clubs to register their teams for the basketball season, with the registration fee being $500. The registration deadline will be on April 10, 2026; however, clubs are encouraged to register early to ensure smooth planning and proper scheduling of the competition.

DABA shared this notice on its Facebook page, where the Association has expressed that it looks forward to the clubs' support and participation in the meeting and upcoming season as they continue to develop basketball in Dominica together.
