New police vehicle will boost patrol, response time, and overall safety services for Delices and nearby communities in Dominica.
Dominica: The Government of Dominica has reaffirmed its commitment to improving public safety as it provided the Delices Police Station with a brand-new police vehicle to boost its local law enforcement capabilities.
The Delices Police Station received the vehicle on Friday, June 5, 2026, during an official handing over ceremony at the Delices Police Station where the Chief of Police, Lincoln Corbette, was seen handing over the keys to Constable Dave Robinson who accepted it on behalf of Police Station.
During the handing over ceremony, the Chief of Police of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) stated that the initiative is a testament to the Government’s continued commitment and investment to strengthening community safety and security as it “ensures that police stations across the island are fully equipped to serve their communities effectively.”
Receiving the vehicle, Constable Dave Robinson extended his gratitude to the Government of Dominica and the Police Force, stating that the vehicle will help serve the community. Speaking of the benefits it will bring, the Constable Dave Robinson shared, “This new vehicle will enhance the station's ability to respond promptly to reports, improve police visibility, and strengthen efforts to maintain the safety and security of citizens and visitors alike.”
The MP for the La. Plaine Constituency, Dr. Cassandra Williams, was also seen extending her thanks to Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit on behalf of the residents of Delicies, describing the initiative as both a timely and meaningful gesture. She noted that this will help the officers to perform their duties with greater ease and more efficiently.
“The communities of Delices and Boetica can now look forward to increased police patrols, quicker response to residents’ complaints, and more efficient emergency and disaster response, all contributing to the safety and security of our people,” she declared.
The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force has reaffirmed its commitment to serving and protecting the citizens, stating that it will “remain committed to working with communities and stakeholders to create a safer Dominica for all.”
