DFA Appoints Vladimir Corbette Competitions Manager | Dominica News

The Dominica Football Association has appointed Vladimir Corbette as Competitions Manager to oversee all DFA-sanctioned leagues and tournaments.

Dominica: The Dominica Football Association (DFA) has announced that it has appointed Vladimir Corbette as the new Competitions Manager, a role that will require Corbette to oversee all competitions which will be organised and conducted by the Football Association.  

This announcement was shared by the Dominica Football Association on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, who shared an official press release to inform the general public of the new appointment.  

In his new position, Competitions Manager Vladimir Corbette will take the responsibility of directing the comprehensive administration and strategic coordination of all DFA-sanctioned tournaments, ensuring that both the leagues and cup competitions are being executed in an organised and professional manner.

The DFA has extended their congratulations to Corbette stating, “We extend our congratulations to him and wish him success in this role.” 

Moreover, the Dominica State College (DSC) has also extended their congratulations to Vladmir Corbette, taking to Facebook DSC spoke of the newly appointed manager’s service, expressing confidence in his ability to carry out the responsibilities associated with the role. 

“As a valued member of the DSC family and a dedicated IT professional, Mr. Corbette continues to make us proud through his commitment and service. We applaud this well-deserved achievement and wish him every success in his new role,” shared the Dominica State College.

The WE United Football Club wrote, “The Executive Committee and members of the We United Football Club extend congratulations to Mr Corbette on his appointment as Competitions Manager. We welcome this new change. Best of wishes Sir.”  

Alongside the appointment, the DFA has also shared upcoming season updates, confirming that the First Division and Women's Premier League seasons will get underway shortly. According to the DFA, more information on the fixtures, venues, and participating teams will also be shared as soon as its available.
