DFA and Concacaf train over 20 referees in Dominica through a three-day workshop aimed at improving officiating standards and match quality.
Dominica: The Dominica Football Association (DFA) in partnership with Concacaf launched a three-day officiating workshop, the Concacaf Refereeing MA Introductory Course, as part of their greater efforts to enhance officiating standards in the country and elevate how matches are administered.
The Concacaf Refereeing MA Introductory Course was held at the DFA Technical Centre in Stockfarm from June 14 to June 16, 2026, and was attended by more than 20 new match officials in Dominica. According to the Football Association, this workshop was a top priority in its agenda, ensuring that the country’s officiating shortages are addressed.
The three days development training included different sessions featuring classroom instructions, video quizzes, and physical on-field sessions. Day one and two focused on familiarising the officiators with match principles and decision-making while on day three, the officials had an intensive field training session.
Concacaf referee instructor George Ramsey was the main facilitator during these sessions. He also received support from assistant Alexi Alvarez and fitness specialist Alan Morgan.

A few citizens have taken to the comment section to express their views, with many describing the initiative as timely and necessary.
A user under Kenrick Emanuel wrote, “Very good, the game needs good officials and this training is much needed step forward to ensuring fairness, consistency and professionalism when matches are being conducted.”
The DFA has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering excellence in football association, stating that it will continue in its investments to uphold the integrity of the sport.
