The Dominica Football Association is inviting overseas players of Dominican heritage to register for selection to the national teams from U14 to senior level.
Dominica: The Dominica Football Association (DFA) has launched a recruitment drive, inviting eligible male and female overseas-based football players with Dominican heritage to send their interest in representing the Dominica National Teams.
The drive was officially launched on Saturday, 1st August 2026, with the Football Association announcing that the recruitment is open to players from the Under-14 level through to the senior level.
In order to register themselves, interested players have been asked to submit their name, date of birth, current club, playing position, and a curriculum vitae with highlight videos, where available, through email to nationalteams@dominicafa.org.
The DFA has stressed that only first-generation Dominicans—players whose parents were born in Dominica—are eligible for selection under this recruitment initiative.
The Football Association shared this announcement on social media, encouraging eligible players to take advantage of the opportunity and register to represent the island at the highest level.
Taking to Facebook, the Football Association shared, “Represent Dominica. Wear the Nature Isle with pride. The Dominica Football Association is inviting eligible overseas-based players with Dominican heritage to express their interest in representing our National Teams. We are seeking committed male and female players from U14 through Senior level who are currently playing at academy, school, college, or club level.”
A few citizens have taken to the comment section to share their views. A user under Dalton Clement expressed happiness in seeing the eligibility criteria expanded to include senior footballers. In the comment section, Clement wrote, “I’m glad to see the age group is higher so that others can join the national team in senior levels.”
Another user under Gronk Baldrick advised the DFA to also go the extra mile and send scouts to identify potential talent, noting that it will provide them with a better opportunity to assess and determine the best prospects for the national teams.
