Discover Dominica launches Martinique Sales Mission | Dominica News

Discover Dominica launched a four-day sales mission to Martinique to boost regional tourism partnerships and attract more visitors to the island.

Dominica: The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) has announced that it has collaborated with tourism stakeholders to launch a four-day sales mission to the French island of Martinique. This is in an ongoing initiative from the Tourism Authority as part of its greater efforts to strengthen partnership and promote Dominica’s tourism experiences within the French Caribbean market.

The Authority has informed the public that the team departed for Martinique this Friday, June 26, and while there, will engage in different meetings and events aimed at increasing awareness of Dominica's tourism product.

According to the DDA, the four-day mission is aimed at encouraging travel from Martinique and creating opportunities for local tourism businesses within the French Caribbean market. It follows a highly successful 5-day sales mission to Guadeloupe which was completed earlier from June 1 to June 5, 2026, where the team was seen heavily promoting Dominica's calendar of events, including the World Creole Music Festival, Asa Banton's Breakfast Fete, Dive Fest, the Dominica Bike Festival and the Dominica Poker Run.

During this mission, the DAA and stakeholders will have business-to-business meetings with different travel agents in Martinique as well as a networking cocktail reception to strengthen industry relationships and create more opportunities for the tour operators.

Moreover, they will also host a marketing event where they will get to directly engage with potential visitors. This consumer activation will give participants the opportunity to discover the diverse tourism experiences, tours, events, culinary offerings, travel packages and accommodations that Nature Island has to offer.

The Authority shared this announcement on social media where it has explained the importance of strengthening partnership with the region, noting that it creates opportunities for expanding the tourism sector.

“By building stronger relationships with our regional partners and engaging directly with consumers, we're creating more opportunities to welcome visitors from Martinique to experience all that Dominica has to offer,” shared the DDA.
