Discover Dominica has launched a new online training course to help travel advisors in key markets better promote and sell the Nature Island.
Dominica: The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) has introduced a new online training course for travel advisors in key international markets, aimed at deepening their destination knowledge and strengthening their ability to effectively market Dominica to travellers. The Online Travel Training (OTT) course is currently available on the OTT U.S. and UK platforms, with several travel professionals having already completed the programme since its launch.
According to the Discover Dominica Authority, OTT is a self-paced course that covers key aspects of Dominica's tourism product. Training will offer insight on the seven tourism pillars: Adventure, Health & Wellness, Romance, Aqua, Culture - Events & Entertainment, Agro and Kalinago.
With this course, travel professionals will be introduced to key experiences in Dominica, including its rainforests, rivers and waterfalls, volcanic landscapes, diving and marine activities, wellness and cultural experiences. They will also gain practical destination knowledge to help them create recommendations and itineraries suited to their clients.
The CEO of Discover Dominica Authority, Marva Williams, has spoken of the importance of this course, advisors play an important role in connecting travellers with Dominica and expanding the country's reach internationally.

The DDA has shared that it plans to promote the course in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada, with plans to make it available on OTT’s France and Germany platforms as well. A Certificate of Completion will be provided to participants who successfully complete the online course.
The Ministry of Tourism has shared the link to the course on its official Facebook page, encouraging travel advisors to sign up and gain the knowledge and resources needed.
