Dominica Netball Association has officially unveiled its 12-member national under-16 team set to compete in the Jean Pierre Caribbean Youth Netball Tournament.
Dominica: The 12 selected team members were officially presented to the media and will be participating in the Jean Pierre Caribbean Youth U16 Netball Tournament from April 10 to April 18, 2026.
Last week, the Dominica Netball Association (DNA) announced the under-16 Girls Netball Team, which will be competing in a regional tournament starting Friday. The team includes 12 members from different schools across Dominica.
Alianne Toussaint and Chloie Gregoire of Convent High School (CHS), along with Tyra Simeon and Krissia Pierre of Goodwill Secondary School (GSS), and Curvriah John of Isaiah Thomas Secondary School (ITSS), were announced as members of the national team.
Also selected are Catalina Bougouneau, Adhari Samuel, Alisha Stevens and Deanna Jacob's from North East Comprehensive School (NECS).
In addition, Portsmouth Secondary School (PSS) has two players, Jaycoliah Benjamin and Kiara Marcellin and from Pierre Charles Secondary School (PCSS) is Kaylene George.
The national under-16 team will compete in the Jean Pierre Caribbean Youth U16 Netball Tournament, which will be hosted by Trinidad. The tournament will begin on Friday, April 10 and carry on for more than a week, ending on the 18th of April 2026.

The Netball Association held a ceremony at the Windsor Parks Sports Stadium for the young girls, where it officially presented the team to members of the media.
Present at the team unveiling ceremony were the sports coordinator, the president of the Netball Association and the Minister of State.
The president of DNA has congratulated the girls for their hard work towards perfecting their skills for the sport, which has resulted in their selection. She encouraged the girls to keep practicing ahead of the tournament so that they can make their country proud.
As the national team prepares to face the different teams in the region, many citizens have offered their well-wishes, cheering them on.
