Dominica Dialysis Unit Receives 300 Erythropoietin Units | Dominica News

Dominica’s Dialysis Unit has received 300 units of Erythropoietin through the 11th EDF Technical Capacity Enhancement Programme.

Dominica: The Dominica Hospitals Authority (DHA) has shared that it has received a donation of 300 units of Erythropoietin from the 11th European Development Fund (EDF) Technical Capacity Enhancement Programme. This donation was made to the hospital earlier on behalf of the Dominica Dialysis Association through the direct coordination of Dr. Pearl James.

According to the Hospitals Authority, the donation will provide “valuable support” to dialysis patients, ensuring they have access to essential medication needed as part of their ongoing treatment and care.

The Dominica Hospitals Authority has shared pictures of the handing over of the Erythropoietin medication on Facebook, highlighting the importance of the donation to the Dialysis Unit. It noted that the donation has reflected the 11th EDF Programme’s commitment to supporting patients receiving dialysis treatment.

The 11th European Development Fund (EDF) Technical Capacity Enhancement Programme has once again demonstrated its continued commitment to supporting the Dominica Hospitals Authority’s Dialysis Unit, the Hospitals Authority wrote.

The DHA has also extended its gratitude to the European Development Fund for its support, sharing that the donation will support the delivery of quality healthcare in Dominica.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the entire team for their continued involvement, partnership, and commitment to strengthening healthcare in Dominica. Your support continues to make a meaningful difference, it added.

A few citizens have taken to the comment section to join the DHA in expressing gratitude.

Another user also commented, “It is good to see support going toward the Dialysis Unit because these are essential supplies for patients who need ongoing care. We are thankful for the support.
