The Dominica Festivals Committee unveils over twenty-five fringe events for the 2026 Jazz ‘n Creole Festival, featuring a month of jazz sessions & beach parties
Dominica: More than twenty-five fringe events, commencing April 4 to May 4, 2026, have been planned for this year’s Jazz ‘n Creole Festival.
Yesterday, the Dominica Festivals Committee shared a list of month-long events that will feature different jazz sessions and experiences, as well as activities such as beach parties and brunch to highlight elegance and music, keeping with this year’s Afro Elegance—Rhythm, Culture & Style— theme.
All these are a preview, setting the tone for the main stage, the Jazz ‘n Creole Festival scheduled for May 3, 2026, at Fort Shirley, Cabrits National Park in Portsmouth.
The Dominica Festivals Committee announced that Jazz in the City will happen every Tuesday from March 10, 2026. This event will take place at the Realms, Roseau, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Today’s Jazz in the City will feature Michele Henderson, with the entry fee set at 10 dollars.
On Saturday, April 11, 2026, Jazz at Pioneers will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pioneer Prep School. In addition, on the same day from 5:30 p.m., the Afro-Caribbean Fashion Extravaganza 2026 will take place at the Realms in Roseau.
The fringe events will continue on April 18 with Jazz in the Garden; April 19 with Jazz in Dine; April 25 with Exhale in Paradise (Day 1); and Exhale in Paradise (Day 2), Jazz Block Party and Aura – Premium Brunch Experience on April 26.
Moreover, according to Dominica Festivals, the last three days in April 2026 will include Jazz in the City – Creole Crescendo (April 28) and Jazz @Karaoke and Jazz at the Fort on April 29. The month will close with a Jazz N Cocktail event scheduled to take place at Alliance Francaise in Roseau.
The Month of May will also feature a few events such as Jazz Under the Stars, Jazz Block Party, Jazz Under the Starz and Silent Headphone Party on the 1st of May, as well as Jazz N Tea, Jazz on the Beach, Poetry and Jazz Cocktail, Jazz n Arts in Paradise and Breakfast Village (Day 1) on the 2nd of May.
On the day of the actual festival, May 3, Breakfast Village (Day 2) will take place from 6 to 11 a.m. Moreover, there will be a Jazz After Party from 11 p.m. at three different locations, including Bell Hall Beach Spot, Tan Tan, Prince Rupert Tavern & Cabrits.
The Festivals Committee has invited everyone to participate in the variety of events, sharing that they aim to bring “celebration of music and elegance to every corner of the Nature Island.”
