The 2026 Cruise Stakeholders Symposium will explore AI, customer service, leadership and industry trends to strengthen Dominica's cruise tourism sector.
Dominica: The Ministry of Tourism, International Transport and Maritime Initiatives has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Dominica’s cruise tourism sector as it announces that it will be hosting its annual Cruise Stakeholders Symposium from Monday, July 27 to Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
This three-day symposium is a collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Discover Dominica Authority (DDA), scheduled to take place at Goodwill Parish Hall from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM each day.
Over the course of three days, the programme will bring together local, regional and international experts who will engage with the stakeholders on key topics aimed at identifying the visitor’s expectations, emerging trends and supporting the development of the industry.
According to the information provided by the Ministry, participants will engage in sessions that focus on the overall performance of the cruise tourism industry and the role of artificial intelligence in tourism. Moreover, the sessions will also explore ways to enhance customer service, strengthen leadership and product development.
The Tourism Ministry explained that the event aims to “strengthen partnership between the cruise tourism stakeholders, enhance the visitor experience and continue developing a competitive cruise tourism industry.”
The Ministry shared details of the symposium’s launch on Facebook, where it noted that the programme comes after the country experienced an outstanding 2025/2026 cruise season, welcoming a record 409,761 cruise passengers.
It extended gratitude to the industry partners for contributing to a successful season and creating memorable experiences for the tourists, noting that they played a great role in the sector’s growth.
