Dominica: The Government has launched a hotline to provide clear information on the New Minimum Wage Order for the workers and employers, ensuring compliance and promoting a fair labour market for all.
The Government of Dominica has introduced a dedicated minimum wage hotline to assist in the implementation of the Minimum Wage Order 2025, which came into effect on the 1st of December 2025. This hotline will provide information to the employees and employers about the new minimum wage requirements across all sectors.
The hotline was launched on the 10th of February 2026, by the Ministry of Labour, Public Service Reform, Social Partnership, Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development.
During the launch, Daren Pinard, the Minster of Entrepreneurship, and Small Business Development explained that the Government took this initiative as an effort to safeguard the worker’s rights and to help both parties have a clear understanding of the new minimum wage order requirements by avoiding confusion and misinformation.
“This hotline is designed to give both workers and employers direct access to accurate information on minimum wage requirements across all applicable sectors. It is a practical step to ensure everyone clearly understands their rights and responsibilities under the new wage order,” stated Minister Daren Pinard
The Minister went on to highlight the key areas that the hotline will focus on. He shared that the hotline would provide information and clarity on the different occupational rates and serve as a guide for the employers by providing instructions on how to implement the new wage structure in their businesses. Moreover, the hotline will also allow workers to report instances in which their pay falls short of the legally required minimum.
The ministry's compliance officers can be reached via phone at 7672663195, by WhatsApp at 7673163195, or via email at minimumwageinfo@domminica.gov.dm.
Minister Daren Pinard shared that all calls and communication will be treated as confidential to ensure reports are made without fear and to protect those involved. He also added that the establishment of the hotline aligns with government's overall goal of promoting a fair labour market.
All communications will be treated with strict confidentiality. That initiative forms part of this government's broader commitment to fair compensation, the protection of workers' rights and the promotion of a transparent and equitable labour market that also supports sustainable business growth and entrepreneurship in Dominica.
