Dominica names team for NACAC U18 & U23 Championships | Dominica News

Three Dominican athletes will represent the Nature Isle at the NACAC U18 & U23 Championships in Mexico from July 10-12, 2026.

Dominica: The Dominica Athletics Association (DAA) has announced that three athletes have been selected to represent Dominica in the upcoming NACAC U18 & U23 Championships 2026 in Tlaxcala, Mexico. The tournament will commence on Friday, July 10, and conclude on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

The NACAC U18 & U23 Championships is organised by the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) and brings together the best young athletes across North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The tournament provides a platform for the participants to challenge themselves, test their abilities and gain valuable experiences.

The national team includes Keyoni Espirt, who will compete in the Boys Under-18 100m; Kerelle Etienne, in the Women Under-23 100m; and Addison James, who will represent Dominica in the Men’s Under-23 Javelin Throw.

Moreover, the team will also be accompanied by the Brendan Williams, the DAA President and Organizational Delegate; Joel Hamilton, the Coach; and Philip White, the DAA Secretary and Team Manager.

The Athletics Association shared this announcement on Facebook, expressing confidence in the selected team’s performance and wishing them well as they proudly represent the country and shine on the regional platform.

The DAA wrote, The Dominica Athletics Association proudly announces the national team that will represent the Nature Isle at the NACAC U18 & U23 Championships in Tlaxcala, Mexico, July 10–12, 2026. As they prepare to compete against the best young athletes from across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, we extend our full support and best wishes to Team Dominica.

The Association has also extended its gratitude to the Dominica Olympic Committee for the financial support it provided to aid in the team's preparation and participation at the championships.
