Dominica prepares for Creole Music Festival | Dominica News

Dominica is intensifying preparations for the 2026 World Creole Music Festival, with organisers focusing on production, security, crowd management and venue.

With the 26th edition of World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) hitting the ground on October 23, 2026, organizers and sponsors are ensuring that the execution for ground logistics is completed successfully and preparations are wrapped in advance.

As the festival immediately begins Dominica’s independence celebrations, it is even more important for the committee to be on their toes to ensure a grand celebration of music, arts and native culture. Being held at Windsor Park Sports Stadium from October 23,2026 to October 26,2026 , the festival co-ordinator Karim Guiste at one of the Discover Dominica media briefings, stated the impact, focus and prioritization of execution of ground - logistics in order to be able to handle and manage production standards, heavy security and high volume crowd expected to join the stadium to attend the festival.

Featuring a variety of global pop talent like a blend of Reggae, Bouyon, Soca and Zouk during the 3 night festival, the opening night featuring performances by Capleton, Skilibeng and local mainstreamers like TK International and Midnight Groovers. Day 2 highlights include R&B superstar Ne-Yo, dancehall artist Alkaline and the iconic Zouk group Tabou Combo. For the ending and day 3 sneak -peak includes closing festival with soca king Machel Montano, Maxi Priest and Amapiano star Uncle Waffles. Being one of the largest cultural celebrations in the entire Caribbean, it is referred to as “The Festival That Never Sleeps” by the local inhabitants owing to its sunrise and sunset performances scheduled for all 3 days of the festival.

The festival only celebrates the regional arts,culture and spirit of Dominica but also acts as a major revenue driver for the massive tourist chunk which specially come to enjoy and celebrate the festival. This also helps to create employment for local people by developing and upgrading hotels, bars, lounges, local shops and restaurants serving as an economy booster as well , all at the same time.
