Dominica has been recognised in 11 categories of the 2027 Scuba Diving Readers’ Choice Awards, including marine health, wall diving and snorkeling.
Dominica has earned recognition in 11 categories in 2027 Scuba Diving Readers’ Choice Awards. This highlights the island’s growing reputation for underwater tourism and its strong appeal for divers and snorkelers.
The Nature Island has been ranked in the top five countries in Health of Marine Environment category and top ten countries in Macro Life, Best Value and Wall Diving. It was also named among the best destinations for Best Overall, Beginners, Advanced Diving, Underwater Photography, Big Animals, Shore Diving and Snorkeling.
“Dominica continues to make waves beneath the surface. The Nature Island has been recognized in 11 categories in the 2027 Scuba Diving Readers’ Choice Awards, earning distinctions across marine health, wall diving, value, underwater photography, snorkeling and more,” shared Dominica’s Ministry of Tourism via an official Facebook post.
The recognition brings attention to Dominica's marine environment and various activities available to visitors underwater. Divers can explore various dive sites, while snorkelers and photographers can enjoy the island’s marine environment from a different perspective.
Dominica’s performance also helps in its efforts of promoting nature-based tourism. It is known for offering visitors an experience that combines adventure and sports with its natural surroundings. These include clear water, vibrant coral reefs, and diverse marine life.

Tourism officials said that this recognition will also boost the marine tourism industry in Dominica. It will also bring exposure as the Nature Island attracts tourists who enjoy scuba diving and snorkeling.
