Dominica to Launch Centralised Voter Confirmation in Roseau | Dominica News DM

Electoral officials say weekly sessions at Windsor Park Stadium will help relocated voters complete confirmation more easily from April.

Dominica: Starting April, the voter confirmation process will be available at the Windsor Parks Stadium for citizens who have registered in different constituencies outside Roseau but have relocated to the area.

The Dominica Electoral Board has introduced a centralised voter confirmation to make the process more accessible and convenient to electors in Roseau. The voter confirmation process will be done on a weekly basis, with each week planned to facilitate different constituencies.

This information was provided by the Dominica Electoral Board who shared a press release this Thursday, March 26, 2026. According to the press release, the confirmation process will take place on a weekly basis and will be hosted at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium starting the second week of April 2026.

According to the Electoral Office, this initiative is aimed at providing services to electors who have relocated to or are employed in Roseau and are unable to travel back to their home constituencies to complete the process without needing to go to their respective districts.

The Office has not yet disclosed the schedule; however, it has stated that the schedule will be shared with the voters soon. The timings will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

“This rotation is scheduled to commence in the second week of April 2026, and a detailed monthly schedule will be published across various media platforms, including the Electoral Office’s official online channels,” read the released document.

The Electoral Office of Dominica shared that the taken initiative is meant to ensure that every voter is given the opportunity to exercise their rights as a citizen of Dominica.

“This initiative forms part of the Office’s ongoing efforts, within the framework of the law, to ensure that the democratic rights of every Dominican are safeguarded, while promoting fairness, accessibility, and inclusiveness across all electoral processes,” shared the Electoral Office.

So far, the ongoing voter confirmation and voter registration processes have been reported as successful, with both said to be progressing smoothly, according to the Office.
