Dominica to present 2026/2027 National Budget on August 4 | Dominica News

Dominica will present its 2026/2027 National Budget on August 4, outlining fiscal policies, tax changes and development priorities.

Dominica: The Government of Dominica has announced that the 2026/2027 National Budget Presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2026, where the Minister of Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience and Social Security, Dr. Irving McIntyre, will highlight the government's fiscal agenda and future development plans for Dominica.

This announcement was made by Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit who described the 2026/2027 budget as one of great importance, noting that it will be presented during a time of global uncertainty and economic shocks for Dominica and the world as a whole.

He shared that the Government will outline measures that will continue to ease the cost of living for the citizens of Dominica, further disclosing that taxpayers should expect “dramatic changes” in the tax structure.

Going to this budget, you will see some very far-reaching and progressive policy initiatives that the government will present to the people of Dominica, which will cause there to be a reduction of the goods on the shelves and many other things, and also ensuring that the taxpaying grouping within the country would see even further relief, announced the Prime Minister of Dominica.

Skerrit added that discussions will also touch on the ongoing projects in Dominica and explain how they fit into the Government's broader vision for the country's future development.

The Government of Dominica and Prime Minister Skerrit shared the announcement on their official Facebook pages, inviting the citizens to tune in as the presentation of the budget is expected to provide important details about the policies for the year ahead.

The Prime Minister wrote, “Save the date: August 4, 2026. The 2026/2027 National Budget will be presented to Parliament.”

Live coverage of the full parliamentary proceedings will be aired by the Government Information Service (GIS) and the Dominica Broadcasting Service (DBS).
