Dominica unveils 2026–2027 events calendar featuring more th | Dominica News DM

Dominica: The Ministry of Tourism has shared the calendar for the year 2026/2027. The calendar reveals that Dominica will have a total of 34 events, with 31 events planned from May 21 to November 3, 2026, and three events already announced for 2027.  

On Tuesday, March 25, 2026, the Ministry of Tourism released a year-long calendar full of a variety of events and festivals set to take place in the Nature Island. These events have been planned with the aim of increasing community participation and boosting the tourism industry in the country by attracting international participation.  

The events are focused on showcasing the Nature Island’s culture, nature, adventure, music as well as food and culinary experiences.     

This month, Dominica organized the full week P.A.Y.S Yachting Festival, beginning on March 21 and ending on Friday, March 27, 2026.

April has one event, Exhale in Paradise, which is scheduled for April 25-26, 2026. This will be an event focused on wellness and relaxation experiences.  

During the month of May, Dominica will have a series of events including Jazz ‘n Creole, Hike Fest, May Fest, Giraudel Flower Show and Fete Isidore. These events are also aligned with the month-long celebration of Dominica Festival of the Creative Arts (DOMFESTA) and Tourism Awareness Month, which will showcase the island’s nature, adventure and rich cultural history through music, local arts and crafts, etc.  

The event calendar reveals that most of the activities from July to September 2026 will cater to community and village celebrations, some including Thibaud Reunion 2026, Delices Reunion, Summer Daybreak Breakfast Fete, and Kalinago Week.  

Moreover, some sporting outdoor events such as Sourfriere Dive Fest (July 18-19), Dominica Poker Run 2026 (July 26), Dominica Bike Festival (July 31) and Kreylol Basketball will also take place during this period.  

October will include a series of national events (Heritage Day, Creole Day and Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival), all leading up to Independence Day on November 3, 2026.  

For 2027, the Ministry has announced the dates for three events—Mas Domnik the Real Mas (January 9-February 10), Glory in Paradise (March 14), and Jazz ‘n Creole (May 2).
