Dominica's Senior Women's National Team prepares to face Antigua in a crucial World Cup Qualifier on April 14 at St. Lucia’s Darren Sammy National Stadium.
Dominica: The country’s Senior Women's National Football Team departed Dominica on Saturday, April 11, 2026, and is set to compete with Antigua’s national team tomorrow, April 14, 2026.
The Dominica Football Association has announced that the Senior Women’s National Team is currently in St. Lucia for the Concacaf Women's World Cup Qualifiers match against Antigua. The match will take place on April 14th at the Darren Sammy National Stadium, commencing at 3 p.m.
The Women’s National Team had departed the country on Saturday and a day after arriving, the Football Association shared a video clip of the team training ahead of the fierce competition.
In an interview with the media, the Team’s Head Coach, Ronnie Gustave, expressed confidence in his team to once again defeat Antigua in the upcoming match.
When asked, “How would you be hoping to end this campaign in the World Cup Qualifiers?” the Head Coach responded that the team’s goal is to acquire at least six points for their two scheduled matches.
Well, going into that game, we're going with an open mind, and we're looking to at least get six points in those two (1:29) games there, stated the Head Coach.

He touched upon the team’s preparedness, stating that after their defeat in Guyana, the players have been focusing on their fitness level and improving their strategy, especially their ball control in the middle of the field.
Head Coach Gustave revealed that for the first time, the team will be led by Captain Trinity Esprit, whom he is confident will do a good job and lead the team to victory. The Dominica Women’s team also includes six overseas-based players, including returning players Alanna Finn and Sari Finn. According to the Coach, the sisters will help strengthen the team’s dynamics.
