DOMLEC announces Two-Day JUICE Service Interruption | Dominica News

DOMLEC will suspend JUICE services on August 10 and 11 for a platform upgrade, affecting top-ups and message alerts for customers and vendors.

Dominica: The Dominica Electricity Services Limited (DOMLEC) has issued a public notice informing the citizens of Dominica that there will be JUICE service interruption for two days, Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11, 2026, as the company undertakes upgrades to the platform.

This service interruption will affect both the Pay As You Go customers and vendors, who will be unable to top-up their accounts or receive message alerts through the platform for the scheduled two days.

DOMLEC advises its Pay As You Go customers that work will be undertaken to prepare the upgraded JUICE platform for going live. During the period, Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th August 2026, customers and vendors will not be able to access the JUICE portal for topping up and will also not receive message alerts while the system is being activated, DOMLEC announced.

The notice of Juice Service Interruption was released on Tuesday, August 4, where the Electricity Services advised the customers to ensure they have topped up their accounts by 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, and have enough credit to meet their needs until Wednesday, August 12.

The company explained the temporary interruption will allow for important upgrades to be made to the JUICE platform, which is expected to improve the overall efficiency of the services being provided to the customers.

This temporary inconvenience is necessary to facilitate important upgrades to the JUICE platform, which will ultimately provide customers with a more reliable, efficient, and improved service experience, shared the Electricity Services.

DOMLEC has shared this notice on Facebook where it has thanked all customers for their patience and understanding during this period.

A few citizens have taken to the comment section to thank the company for the early notice. Some customers have praised the services offered so far, sharing that they are currently able to complete online top-ups “without any issues”. They expressed hope that the same level of service will continue, while also looking forward to seeing the changes the new upgraded platform will bring.
