DOMLEC secured top honours at the 2026 CARILEC Awards in Barbados, ranking highly across multiple Caribbean utility categories.
Dominica: The Dominica Electricity Services Ltd. (DOMLEC) has been recognised as among the utilities that are performing strongly across the Caribbean region at CARILEC Awards of Excellence. The award ceremony was held in Barbados on May 18, 2026, during the 2026 CARILEC CEOs and Leadership Conference, where General Manger Dwayne Cenac received the awards on behalf of DOMLEC.
The Electricity Services was acknowledged in five different categories, including Overall Best Performing Utility where it secured third place and Progress in the Energy Transition where it received a joint first place alongside Grenada Electricity Services Ltd.
In addition, the utility was also placed second in both the Safety Record, Highest Renewable Energy Penetration categories, as well as in Financial Performance, where it tied with the Barbados Light & Power Company.
These achievements have highlighted DOMLEC’s strong performance across multiple areas and continued commitment to excellence.

DOMLEC has shared this momentous and exciting milestone with the general public on Facebook. In the shared post, the utility extended its congratulatory message to its fellow Caribbean utilities, noting the role they play in “powering the future of the region.”
