Dominica: The Government of Dominica has shared that it signed an EC$898,000 contract with CR5 Limited for the rehabilitation of the Pointe Ronde Bridge as part of its continued efforts to modernize the country’s infrastructure. A site visit is scheduled to take place this week, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, with construction works set to begin immediately after.
According to the public announcement issued by the Government of Dominica on Saturday, August 1, 2026, the major infrastructure contract was officially signed in June 2026. The Government has expressed that the Pointe Ronde Bridge project is an important investment that will greatly benefit both residents, visitors and businesses alike by strengthening connectivity and ensuring safety for all users.
“The rehabilitation of the Pointe Ronde Bridge forms part of the Government's ongoing investment in modern, resilient, and reliable infrastructure,” shared the Government of Dominica, adding, “Once completed, the project will improve public safety, strengthen connectivity, and provide a safer and more efficient transportation network for residents, businesses, visitors, and all road users."

In the public announcement, the Government also extended its gratitude to the citizens, thanking them for their continued support and pledged to ensure minimal disruption during the construction period.
