Dominica's Electoral Office will conduct mobile voter confirmation visits in Portsmouth on July 29 for homebound residents unable to visit confirmation centres.
Dominica: The Dominica Electoral Office has announced that it has scheduled a mobile kit/ home visit confirmation on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, for residents in the Portsmouth Constituency as part of its continued effort to make the voter confirmation process more accessible to the citizens of Dominica and increase participation.
The Electoral Office issued the official public notice earlier last week, informing the residents that services will be available from 09:00 a.m. to 05:30 p.m. According to the Office, the initiative aims to assist eligible individuals who require voter confirmation services but are unable to do so due to illness, disability or other mobility-related challenges.
The electoral authority has encouraged any citizen who is unable to visit a confirmation centre or knows a person with such a situation, to call 767-617-9595 /275 8164 to schedule a visit for the day.
“If you or someone you know, from the Portsmouth constituency, is homebound and requires a visit in order to apply for Voter Confirmation, please give us a call to have the enrolment officers accommodate you/them,” shared the country’s Electoral Office.

It went on to remind the voters to have a valid Government issued identification (Passport/ Driver’s license/Social Security card) and a witness from the same polling district. For those without a valid ID, a birth certificate, a passport sized photo and an affidavit certified by a Justice of Peace, Notary Public or Commissioner of Oaths will be used as alternative form of identification.
Moreover, voters are advised to be camera ready as a photo will be taken for use on the voter ID cards. The Office has informed that sunglasses face coverings, sleeveless clothing, white shirts and hats are prohibited.
This initiative is part of the Office’s ongoing awareness campaign to increase participation and ensure all eligible voters are able to exercise their constitutional right to vote.
