The Isaiah Thomas Secondary School swept the 2026 Volleyball Championship, with the boys defending their title and the girls securing their first-ever victory.
Dominica: The boys and girls in Isaiah Thomas Secondary School Volleyball Teams have secured a massive 3-goal victory, emerging as champions in the Secondary Schools Volleyball competition.
Isaiah Thomas Secondary School (ITSS) has swept the Secondary Schools Volleyball Championship title, winning in both the Boys’ and Girls’ Divisions. Throughout the competition, the Volleyball teams demonstrated high levels of skill, determination and teamwork, which played a part in securing their victory.
The boys' triumph has helped them defend their title, while this is the first victory for the ITSS Girls, who finished second the year before.
The final matches for the Secondary Schools Volleyball Championship took place at the Windsor Park Stadium on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. In the finals, the ITSS Girls faced Dominica State College (DSC) while the Boys competed with Academix.
Both matches ended in victory for ITSS, the girls with a victory of 3 – 1 and the boys winning 3 – 2. Moreover, Sharkib Jno- Baptiste from the boys' team and Jansline Albertus of the girls' team were awarded as the MVPs of the matches for their skilled sportsmanship.

Dominica Sports Division, the organisers of the tournament, has congratulated the teams on their outstanding performances and for winning the competition. The Sports Division took to Facebook and shared pictures of the awards ceremony, where it declared ITSS as the champions.
Both team captains, Caiston Anthony (boys) and Cuvriah John (girls), shared that they were enthusiastic about winning the competitions, stating that it was something they had been preparing for a long time.
The Secondary School has also posted some key moments of the day on their Facebook page, where the board has extended their appreciation to the teams, coaches and supporters alike.
