Dominica: The Dominica Cycling Association has announced that national cyclist Kohath Baron will represent Dominica on an international stage this September as he is set to participate at the 2026 UCI Road World Championships, in Montreal, Canada.
This announcement was made by the President of the Dominica Cycling Association, Ronald Charles, who shared that the world cycling championships will be held sometime between September 18th and 23rd, 2026.
According to the information provided by the President, the Dominican cyclist will compete in a gruelling course spanning for about 150 miles. Currently, Kohath Baron is undergoing intensive training to prepare himself for the upcoming race.
President Ronald Charles has expressed confidence in Kohath Baron’s ability to compete on the international platform, sharing that the competition will be a major test and a good exposure for him to measure his performance against some of the best cyclists in the world.
He added that the Cycling Association plans to build a strong team which will be able to represent the country on more international platforms.
This race is contested by professional cyclists at the highest level. You're talking about a 150 miles race. It's going to be tough of course, but I believe the exposure is good for Baron, and you know in time to come we're hoping to build a very good team and of course step by step we will get there, shared President Ronald Charles.
