Post-Budget Town Hall Meetings Planned in Dominica | Dominica News

Residents of Soufriere and Petite Savanne will engage with Government ministers during post-budget town hall meetings on the 2026/2027 National Budget.

Dominica: The Government of Dominica is set to participate in two post-budget town hall meetings in the Soufriere Constituency and the Petite Savanne Constituency, as part of its greater efforts to help residents better understand the 2026/2027 National Budget. The town hall meetings are aimed at engaging residents in discussions on the national budget and its impact on their communities.

In the Soufriere Constituency, the post-budget town hall discussion has been scheduled to take place at Caribantic, Scott’s Head in Dominica on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 6 p.m. The event is being presented by Parliamentary Representative for the Soufriere Constituency and Minister of Tourism, Denise Charles-Pemberton.

According to the information provided, the Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit will be present. Moreover, other Government Ministers, including the Minister of Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience and Social Security, Dr. Irving Mclntyre; and the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development, Gretta Roberts; will also be featured in the discussions.

Minister Denise Charles Pemberton has encouraged the residents be part of the meeting, noting that it is an important opportunity for them to voice their views and learn more about the budget.

The date and time for the meeting have not yet been officially announced.

Jullan Defoe has shared the announcement ahead of the upcoming meeting, encouraging the citizens to take note of the event and prepare themselves to take part in the open discussion. In the shared announced, the Parliamentary Representative has emphasized the themes, “Your Budget, Your Future,” “Your Voice Matters,” and “Building Stronger Communities.”
