Voter ID card distribution has begun in Roseau North, covering Upper Goodwill, Bellevue Rawle and Fond Cole, with collection available at two locations.
Dominica: The Dominica Electoral Office has announced that distribution of the new Voter Identification Cards is officially underway, with the Roseau North Constituency being the first recipients to receive the newly issued ID. According to the Electoral Office, the distribution process officially commenced on Monday, August 10, 2026.
This will be the first phase of the distribution, which will cover three polling districts within the constituency, including Upper Goodwill, Bellevue Rawle and Fond Cole. The Electoral Office has shared that confirmed voters can collect their cards at two designated locations: the Fond Cole Emergency Shelter in Fond Cole and the Red Cross Building in Goodwill on Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Persons collecting cards have been informed that they are required to bring a form of identification. Those collecting on behalf of someone need to present an authorization letter from that individual, along with a 25-cent stamp.
This announcement follows a press release issued by the Electoral Office on August 6, 2026, which formally informed the general public that the printing of the Voter ID cards had officially commenced. The Office has encouraged the voters to monitor official announcements as it continues providing updates for the availability of the cards and collection dates for each constituency.
Reaffirming its commitment to strengthening Dominica’s electoral system, the authority stated that it will “continue to implement every aspect of the Voter Confirmation program with diligence, transparency, and strict adherence to the governing legislation, in the best interest of the democratic process and the people of the Commonwealth of Dominica,” shared the Electoral Office.
The authority has shared these updates on Facebook, adding that anyone needing additional information or clarification regarding the card collection process can contact the Electoral Office of Dominica at the Confirmation Hotlines: 767-275-8164 or 617-9595 or via email at electoraloffice@dominica.gov.dm.
